KeikenCon 2020

About Us

About Us

The Rowan University KeikenCon is a lively and inclusive, student-run convention devoted to experiencing, understanding, and celebrating anime and related art forms by showcasing its influence on contemporary society.

The name of our convention is based on the Japanese word ‘Keiken” which means experience or ones overall life experience. When we form keiken with awareness we awaken wisdom and understanding.

The convention is designed to offer both a traditional anime convention experience while also providing opportunities to explore anime’s cultural and scholarly influences.

KeikenCon is a charity event organized by Rowan University’s Anime Club, with the kind assistance and support of Rowan University’s Student Government Association, the Office of Volunteerism, Community Engagement & Commuter Services, the Rowan University Libraries Digital Scholarship Center, and numerous student clubs. The event is run solely by a dedicated team of volunteers.

100% of all ticket proceeds will be donated to the Emmanuel Cancer Foundation, a non-profit dedicated to helping New Jersey families facing childhood cancer.
